From Zero to Kickstarter — What I Learned After Meeting Simon Again
After six months since our first meeting, I had the chance to meet Simon again — someone who has inspired thousands to chase their dreams. Back then, I was just getting started. I had an idea, a vision, and a lot of uncertainty. He gave me encouragement, and now, six months later, we met again.
This time, I didn’t show up with just an idea — I showed up with a prototype, a launched Kickstarter, production underway, and real progress to share.
Simon patiently listened to every failure I encountered — and how I found my way through it. He’s someone who wants to teach others how to succeed across different industries, and I’m honored that he’ll be sharing our conversation soon in a video.
Here’s what happened in just six months:
-
✅ Built a working prototype from scratch
-
✅ Sourced advanced, durable materials
-
✅ Traveled to LA and filmed product videos at the Grand Canyon
-
✅ Launched our Kickstarter campaign
-
✅ Produced countless IG videos to tell our story
-
✅ Started production
-
✅ Preparing to ship in just a few months
We’ve also started conversations with potential retail partners in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan. If you’re someone who shares our vision and wants to bring Maze Fathom to your region — let’s talk.
Simon was genuinely surprised by how far we’ve come. What I took away from our conversation was simple, but powerful:
Fight. Persist. Keep moving. Manage your risks. But most importantly — follow your dream.
Maze Fathom is more than a backpack brand. It’s a journey — one built on resilience, exploration, and purpose.
We all walk through the maze.
We fathom the next step.
