The Whole Universe Listened to My Whisper. Focus Group built.

A thankful heart opens the way, and this journey has shown me how true that is.

While traveling by railway, I noticed a photographer with a Nikon camera. Curious and inspired, I struck up a conversation, and we quickly bonded over our shared passion for photography. Before parting ways, we exchanged phone numbers. It’s incredible how simple moments like these can lead to meaningful connections.

That photographer, Alastor, is now part of my focus group. His experience and perspective have become invaluable as I refine my designs.

These unexpected opportunities feel like blessings—little nudges from the universe that bring my dream closer to reality.

Mike, an old classmate of mine, is another story of serendipity. Our career paths couldn’t be more different: I spent years as a finance journalist, while he pursued creativity and is now a portrait photographer. When we caught up recently, Mike shared invaluable advice: “The bag needs to be super light for me to go anywhere. My clients take me to so many different places, so I need my gear to be portable and easy to carry.”

Mike’s words echoed in my mind as I continued developing the Maze Fathom backpack. His emphasis on lightness and portability became a cornerstone of the design process.

A Collaborative Effort

The development process for Maze Fathom wouldn’t have been the same without the incredible help of friends and focus group members. Their feedback shaped every aspect of the design, and honestly, the final product looks nothing like the original draft! Every detail—big and small—was reworked, refined, and improved. From the shape and materials to the functionality and features, the design went through dramatic changes to become what it is today.

This collaboration taught me an important lesson: the best designs don’t come from one person—they come from a community working together to create something extraordinary.

Gratitude Fuels the Journey

As I reflect on this process, I’m filled with gratitude for the people who have supported me. Each conversation, piece of advice, and perspective has brought me closer to turning my dream into a reality. The Maze Fathom backpack is not just a product; it’s a testament to the power of collaboration and the beauty of shared dreams.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Your support means the world, and I can’t wait to share the final product with you!
